Exchange.Design Engages in AI & Data Policy Discussion at Technology Salon

This week, Exchange.Design participated in a Technology Salon event, hosted by Forum One, centered on Generative AI, data governance, and international development. The discussions explored the evolution of artificial intelligence technologies and their potential to tackle global development challenges effectively. Exchange.Design contributed insights on the advancements in AI and reflected on both the data security risks and the transformative case studies demonstrating AI’s impact on major global issues.

The event featured discussions led by other industry leaders, including Elisabeth Bradley, CEO of Forum One, who addressed navigating Generative AI in operations; Jason Green-Lowe, Executive Director of the Center for AI Policy, who spoke on model Responsible AI legislation; and Amy Paul, Senior Director of Professional Services at Vital Wave, who explored legal frameworks for health data governance in lower and middle-income countries.

The gathering provided a valuable opportunity for attendees to engage in rich discussions about the risks and rewards of Generative AI applications in international development, highlighting the critical balance between innovation and ethical considerations.
